Warning: If you’re afraid of snakes, this video will make you lose
your sh*t! A python in Australia was filmed devouring a crocodile whole,
trapping it within the confines of its stomach in a matter of 15
minutes! And this thing wasn’t a small crocodile either!
This is why people are afraid of snakes! The snake, believed to be a
python widens its jaw to a ridiculously stretched out degree, to
consume its prey in a matter of minutes for an image that may haunt your
dreams!
The crocodile did fight back initially however, prompting the snake
to wrap itself around the sea beast, constricting it until it relented,
meeting the horrific end of becoming snake chow!
While digesting an entire crocodile seems like a near impossible
feat, a python can usually manage to fully digest it in seven days.
Organs change size and the small intestine is flooded with powerful
enzymes to break the body down!
Is this picture of Kevin Hart how you’re feeling right about now?
You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who disagrees. If a snake can
digest something as big as a croc, imagine it making a meal out of us!
The video was taken on Lake Moondarra in Queensland, the water python
shocking onlookers as it devours the freshwater crocodile in the
unforgiving Australian Outback! A passerby documented the epic struggle
after being alerted by passersby while having breakfast.
While both reptiles sit atop their respective
food chains, experts say it’s not uncommon for the creatures to make a
meal out of each other. The python and crocodile battled it out for over
five hours before the snake used its powers of constriction to take
advantage.
After emerging victorious, the snake drug the
crocodile out of the water so it could finish the job. Water pythons
typically eat smaller animals and rodents but crocodiles are easier to
sneak up on. They are however, much more dangerous to catch!
